Cromwell
Active-Adult Living
Public Hearing Announcement
Published on September 8, 2020
Interested Community Members, we want to take this time to update you on the status of the Cromwell Active Adult Community. Following the initial outreach meetings with the Community last year we revised our concept plan and removed any connections to Meadow Road as part of our resubmission to the County for review. CLICK HERE TO VIEW PDF OF CURRENT CONCEPT PLAN. Our team has worked with Frederick County Planning staff on alternative layouts and continue to progress on evaluating the development infrastructure needs. The opening of the I-70 westbound ramp from Meadow Road has improved accessibility to the interstate for the entire Lake Linganore, New Market, and Spring Ridge area. With the additional east bound off ramps to be completed in 2021 regional accessibility and traffic flow will be greatly improved.
On January 22, 2020, a public hearing was held with the Planning Commission and the project received a unanimous recommendation for approval with certain conditions. A summary of those conditions can be found by CLICKING HERE. Council President Keegan-Ayer has set a virtual presentation and public hearings for Rezoning for Tuesday September 8, 2020, at 7:00 pm, and then a Council vote on the rezoning cases for Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 5:30 pm.
We look forward to continuing to working with the Community to ensure the Active Adult Community is integrated into the overall Linganore Town Center as envisioned by the County Plans. If you have a question, please reach out to us on the form below and our Team will get back with you.
